The Aircable / Airserial devices have four small switches (known as "DIP" switches) in a recess on the front of the device. These switches control the baud rate and hardware handshaking settings for the nine pin serial interface.

The first three switches control the baud rate. They are set according to the following chart:

Switch Setting (up=1, down=0): 010 110 001 101 011 111 000
Baud Rate: 4800 9600 19200 38400 57600 115200 115200

The fourth switch controls whether or not hardware handshaking is enabled. For most telescopes, this switch should be in the down/off position.

Most telescopes, including virtually all Meade and Celestron models, operate at 9600 baud with no hardware handshake. For this configuration, the switches would be set "1100", or "UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN".
